The website was designed as a place for family and friends, to share all kinds of things. You can share your favorite photos, the latest news, your home movies and more. To learn about what you can share and how, continue reading, the section below.
I encourage my family and friends to get involved, with sharing on the website.
How to Share Content
Because there are several types of content to share, it's also necessary, to have different methods to submit it. Below are instructions, for submitting your content, simply choose the one, that fits your needs.
News
If you are interested in sharing news on the website, you can do it, using the contact page. You will submit your news as text content, just make sure to give as much information as possible, before submitting the form. All news will be reviewed, prior to being posted and can usually be uploaded, the day it's received.
Events
If you would like to share an event on the website, like a birthday or anniversary, you can do so, using the contact page. Make sure and give full details about the event, including date, name(s), etc. Also be sure to get the information to me as soon as possible, so I can post on the website, in time.
Tips
If you are interested in sharing a tip on this website, you can do so using the contact page, And if your tip . The contact page will open your default email client, where you can include the tip information, and include any photos, as attachments.
In either case, make sure to give complete details for your tip. Also include a list of tools or supplies, that may be required, to complete it and any links to websites, if applicable. Your tip will be evaluated, before its posted on the website.
Photos
You can share all kinds of photos on the website, like a wedding, birthday party, Christmas, or even a family vacation. You can also share multiple photos, as a photo album, or a link to a web based album, you may already have.
There is also a section on the website, for sharing photos of our lost, loved ones, as well as family members and friends, celebrating a special occasion, or outstanding accomplishment.
To submit photos you'd like to share, you need to contact me. The link on the Contact page, will open your default email client, where you can include the photos, as attachments. Give as much information about the photos as possible, and be sure to attach them before sending. If you have a lot of photos, you may want to send them in multiple emails.
Depending on the number of photos submitted and the work involved, it may take some time, to get them posted on the website. All photos will be evaluated first and must be approved, prior to being uploaded.
Feel free to contact me, if you need more help, sending a large number of photos, are unable to email your photos, don't have digital copies, or need to submit, paper photographs.
Home Movies
If you would like to share a home movie on the website, please contact me for more information. All movies are uploaded to my YouTube channel, then embedded, on this website. Once the movie has been uploaded, you will be able to watch it here, or on my YouTube channel.
Please note: not all movie formats are compatible and due to the amount of work involved, in preparing, editing, converting and uploading a movie, it may take a substantial amount of time, before it's available.

Screen size, resolution, and browser settings, vary widely these days. It is possible, that some pages on this website, may not fit your browser, and require you to scroll, to view certain parts.
This website, was built with todays standards, for size and resolution in mind, using the latest technology. But it is possible however, that this website, may not be compatible with or support, older screen sizes and/or resolutions.
Website Width
Nowadays, most computer monitors are widescreen. Changes have been made, to accommodate the wider monitors and websites are expanding the width of their pages, to fit the larger screens.
1Macman's Place website, was built using a responsive theme, and should look nice, on any screen. Responsive websites, are designed to automatically adjust the width of the content, to fit the device, it's viewed on.
Fonts and Colors
When I first built this website, I only used web safe fonts of the current standard, in size and color. So much has changed since then and more fonts and colors are acceptable now, with our computers and devices.
In today's world, there are a ton of fonts being used and our devices support millions of colors. Some font differences and colors are normal though, depending on your browser, browser settings and system. But your device will automatically use, the fonts and colors, it's capable of.
History & Cache
Depending on the amount of time, that you spend on the Internet, your browser's history and cache files, can grow rather large. If you are still having problems, try clearing the browser history and cache files, followed by a refresh or reload, of the page. Restarting your browser, can also help.
Testing
This website is continually tested for compatibility, with the latest devices and browser's. It was also built using a responsive theme, so it will automatically adapt, to fit the size of any computer, or mobile device.
For Apple computers, it was tested with the most recent versions of Safari, Firefox and Chrome. For Apple mobile devices, it was tested with iOS version 5, through the latest version, of iOS 14.
For Windows based computers, it was tested with Internet Explorer, versions 5.5 through 11 and the latest version, of the Microsoft Edge, browser.
Testing is conducted, using rendering and responsive software. During the testing process, all pages, rendered correctly, site functions, worked as intended and no compatibility issues were found.
